Ronald Weissman

Ronald Weissman has nearly thirty years experience as a global VC and Silicon Valley angel investor. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Angel Capital Association and also co-chairs the Band of Angels’ enterprise software group. He regularly advises regional and national governments on private capital trends, has led or co-led more than sixty investments and has served on more than forty Boards of Directors in North America and Europe. He has received lifetime achievement awards for his work as an angel from Keiretsu Forum and from the Angel Capital Association. A former Fulbright Scholar, he has written two books on the Florentine Renaissance. Between his work as an historian and his career as an investor, he was a direct report to Steve Jobs, due to his desire to experience personally rituals described in his first book, which was about medieval self-flagellation. He is probably the only person to have been granted, in the same year, a Vatican ID and a US Government top-secret security clearance.
