Rod sold his technology company at the end of 2020 and recently co-founded an AI software company called Qlarity. The technology company built systems for companies that had critical applications for gasses and liquids – if the systems cannot fail, his company built them. His current company Qlarity, develops intelligent software that helps assure the quality of a company’s business system processes.

He is an active investor and board member in early stage startups. In 2015 he was honored by the Living classroom – a non-profit children’s educational organization, for his contributions and support as a founding board member. He and his wife are active in helping to improve children’s literacy.

Rod has been involved in high level sports, ranking nationally in swimming and water polo, and his Provincial water polo team won the Canadian championship; after which he was selected to join the Canadian national water polo team. He stays very active today through hiking, scuba diving, and skiing.

Rod was born in Canada and moved to the United States in 1986. He is married to Rebecca and they have an adult son and daughter. They live in Los Altos, California.
